Colleen Hammond

Colleen was a reporter with the Next Generation Newsroom until late January 2025. A native of Ann Arbor, Colleen is a graduate of Duquesne University with degrees in multiplatform journalism and theater arts. Colleen previously worked as a breaking news reporter at The News & Observer in Raleigh, N.C. There she helmed coverage on gun violence, public safety, criminal courts and juvenile justice. Locally, she also contributed to the Tribune-Review. Colleen is an inaugural Critical Insight fellow with the Pittsburgh Public Theater and American Theater Magazine.
