A native of Ann Arbor, Colleen is a graduate of Duquesne University with degrees in multiplatform journalism and theater arts. Colleen previously worked as a breaking news reporter at The News & Observer in Raleigh, N.C. There she helmed coverage on gun violence, public safety, criminal courts and juvenile justice. Locally, she also contributed to the Tribune-Review. Colleen is an inaugural Critical Insight fellow with the Pittsburgh Public Theater and American Theater Magazine. When Colleen isn’t writing or at the theater, she can be found teaching pottery and crafting coffee drinks at Brushes & Beans Cafe in Murrysville.
